In preparation for the birth of their son, our founders Michelle and Jon Simmons began their search for safe and clean household products. When they realized virtually nothing on the market met their standard for healthy, whole living, Slow North naturally came to life.

Launching Slow North on a whim during maternity leave was no easy task; but Michelle exudes the necessary focus and strength to succeed as an entrepreneurial mom. Two years later, this business has become a part of the family, growing alongside the Simmons and bringing unique challenges and triumphs along the way.
