Off-Site DIY Soy Candle Making Workshops

About This Experience

Our candle-makers will come to you to share our soy candle making process! Ideal for groups of 10 or more for special occasions or team building. You'll explore the benefits of paraffin-free soy wax, then dive into the properties of essential oils to create a custom, all-natural scent blend before mixing and hand-pouring your candle.

Your creation will also come with some major bragging rights - not only will your handmade candle be completely customized, but it'll also be made from all-natural, sustainable, and biodegradable ingredients!

Included in this workshop:

• Ingredients: cotton/paper wicks, soy wax, essential oils
• One 8 oz glass tumbler 
• 1.5 hours of instruction from a seasoned candle-maker

In addition to the ticket price, there is a $100 travel fee for all off-site workshops within a 30-mile radius of Austin, Texas. If your off-site location falls 30 - 60 miles outside of Austin, the travel fee increases to $150. We are not currently able to offer off-site workshops further than 60 miles outside of Austin.

Off-Site Workshop FAQs

Does Slow North have an off-site location for the workshop?
Guests are responsible for arranging the location for the workshop. We cannot accommodate requests inside private homes. Off-site locations must:

• Have access to at least one electrical outlet
• Have enough table space + seating for your entire group (Slow North is not able to supply tables or chairs for your group)

What's the group size minimum and maximum?
The minimum group size is 10, and the maximum is 24. If you have a group of fewer than 10 people, click here to learn more about our in-store private workshops.

Do you have a minimum age requirement?
Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult(s) may participate in the workshop or choose to hang out in the space to supervise.

Can I bring food or beverages?
You are welcome to bring drinks, but Slow North does not provide cups or servingware.
