Employee Handbook - Updated 01.01.22

In 2022, our company holiday policy is changing. For FT team members, instead of offering 6 paid holidays on the predetermined dates below, we are moving to 7 paid floating holidays for use on the days you prefer to celebrate & observe. The balance will be added to your PTO next week when it’s reset for the new year, and requests for time off will be submitted the same as any other day.

Slow North (shop & studio) will be closed on the following days this coming year. You may choose to apply your PTO on these days if you prefer, but it will not be automatically applied. We feel this change is a more inclusive approach to celebrations, and we hope you’ll enjoy the additional flexibility in the year ahead.

Return-to-work Policy Post-Testing COVID-19 Positive:

If an employee tests positive, we are still following the 10-day quarantine protocol from the onset of symptoms + a negative PCR test before the employee will return to work. The current recommendation is that any vaccinated/unvaccinated person with a known exposure should conduct a PCR test 3-5 days post-exposure and continue wearing a mask for 10 days or until a negative result is received. If you are unable to find/schedule a free test, we will reimburse you for it - just email me the receipt (). If any symptoms present themselves, be on the safe side and stay home. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or concerns.
