Austin Public Health - Testing
Testing is available with or without an appointment. However, scheduling an appointment is recommended to save time on-site and confirm test availability for a given day. Schedule online at http://covid19.austintexas.gov or by calling 3-1-1 or 512-974-2000. As with all APH testing sites, the services are free.

Return-to-work Policy Post-Exposure to COVID-19 (unvaccinated):
If no symptoms are present, employee may return to work after 10 days post-exposure with a negative test result (must provide proof). The quarantine period will be paid based on normally-scheduled shifts. If employee is vaccinated, no need to quarantine unless showing symptoms.
If employee shows no symptoms but discovers a member of your household tests positive, employee may return to work after 14 days of the positive test result. Employee must provide proof he/she/they tested negative on the 13th or 14th day before returning to work and continue quarantining. The quarantine period will be paid based on normally-scheduled shifts.
Return-to-work Policy Post-Exposure to COVID-19 (fully-vaccinated):
No need to quarantine if you've had known exposure, per CDC recommendations for fully-vaccinated people.
