Known for its sleek and stylish designs, Chisos is teaming up with local shop Slow North to donate face mask covers directly to local doctors and medical professionals. Double-layered with a tightly woven cotton fabric on top and a cotton flannel underneath, the covers are intended to act as a washable, reusable second layer that healthcare workers can place over their FDA-approved N95 face masks, which can fall apart from overuse. While Chisos is aiding this effort monetarily—donating six masks to area medical centers for every boot it sells and devotes 5% of all additional revenue towards the effort, along with pledging to donate at least 50 more mask covers a week—Slow North owner Michelle Simmons says her shop is leading all mask cover production responsibilities and delivering them to area medical professionals free of charge.  READ FULL ARTICLE
