Introducing Our New Copper Collection
We are beyond thrilled to announce our collaboration with Austin-based Sertodo Copper and the release of our Copper Candle Collection! We learned about Sertodo Copper years ago and since that moment, it has been a dream of ours to work with them. The excitement and pride we feel about this long-awaited project is overwhelming, and it has been SO surreal to see this dream come to fruition. We’ll certainly cherish this true heirloom piece for years to come.
With workshops located in both Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacan Mexico and Austin, Texas, Sertodo Copper is an international cooperative of copper artisans that prides itself on high-quality and hand-crafted, 100% recycled copper goods since 1997. Sertodo Copper goes above and beyond to cultivate interpersonal relationships with its suppliers, a rare find with a luxury-brand such as theirs. As you can imagine, this was extremely enticing to us at Slow North, and we were eager to dream up collaboration ideas with them.
We received a lot of questions from customers about using different vessels for our candles, and after our collaboration with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon this past December, we were encouraged to see our candles translate so well when poured into a different vessel. While our tumblers will always remain a staple in our line, the use of other more unique vessels is something we’re excited to explore. We love supporting local, small businesses, especially when they produce such high-quality goods that align with our mission, and this is why the Sertodo Copper partnership is such a win!
The soothing, blissful feeling of lighting a Slow North candle, in tandem with the warmth of Sertodo Copper, is the ideal pairing for any occasion: a romantic, home-cooked dinner, a night of entertaining guests in your humble abode or even for the perfect house-warming gift for a friend. The flicker of the flame from the crackling, wooden wick against the sheen of the hammered copper makes any space feel heart-warming and welcoming. Enjoy!
