At Slow North, we are always on the lookout for ways to improve the quality of our products. We believe that our community deserves the best products that we can provide. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we recently reformulated our original Bath Salt recipe to offer an even better sensory experience, while still keeping you and our environment in mind.
Bath Salts: A New Look Inside + Out
We have researched, experimented and tested the original formula for months to find ways we could improve the recipe based on your feedback. We knew we wanted to replace the Dead Sea Salts in our formula due to growing concerns we had about depletion of the natural resource. We landed on swapping out the Dead Sea Salt for Pure Sea Salt instead. Produced through the natural evaporation of sea water off the coast of Australia, ocean water is captured in salt ponds and allowed to evaporate by means of the sun and wind.
We took care to preserve the original essential oil blends you've come to love for each bath salt recipe, so the scent and luxurious feeling you enjoy remains.
We've had a little fun with some skin-loving, natural colorants like beetroot powder (high in Vitamin C) and a mix of spirulina (known for its skin-calming effects) powders to transform your bath water into a vibrant spa experience. Afterglow Bath Salts will now deliver a pink-hued bath and Of the Sea Bath Salts will now tint your bath water a stunning shade of turquoise. Can we all agree your next aromatherapy bath is going to be amazing?
How to Prepare Your Bath:
- Pour 1/3 of your bath salts directly into your tub under hot, running water as it fills up.
- Let the salts start to dissolve. (Depending on which bath salt you are using, your bath water will start turning a natural, gorgeous hue of pink or blue green.)
- Once the bath water temperature is comfortable to touch, enjoy your colorful + therapeutic bath.
- (Each jar makes 3 baths)
Follow the above steps, light a candle, put on some soft music, and you’ll experience the soothing power of aromatherapy. Given the right environment, a bath can do more than relax your body — it can clear the way for soulful transformation and renewal. Enjoy.
