🌿 Made With Ingredients you can trust
The base is the same in every bar we make. Coconut oil for hardness and a big lather, olive oil as the counterweight so it isn't all bubbles, castor oil to make that lather dense rather than airy, shea butter for creaminess, and rice bran and sunflower to soften the bar. Sodium hydroxide is the lye, which is what turns oil into soap and is used up in the making of it.
Scented with essential oils, as with everything we make. Good for hands and body.
This soap is suitable for all skin types, especially mature or troubled skin, and can be used for both hands and body.

Why not use bottled soaps?
Hand and body wash is mostly water. Look at any bottle and water is the first ingredient, often somewhere in the seventy to ninety percent range, depending on the formula.
We didn't like the idea of paying to ship (essentially) bottled water across the country in a plastic container, where the soap is used and the bottle is discarded in a landfill.
A soap bar does the same job with the water taken out and no bottle at all. In our soap flight, there's no individual packaging for each soap, so the environmental footprint is smaller. Without the water, it's lighter to ship, and there's nothing to send to a landfill.
And, at 4.5 oz, it can last as long as a bottle several times its weight.

These soaps aren't mass-produced. They're crafted the way the best fragrances have always been made: with pure botanicals, many organic ingredients, and meticulous attention to detail. Every choice is intentional — and it shows in the scent, the lather, and how your skin feels after use.
Small-batch production
Our soap is mixed, poured and cured by hand in Austin, Texas. Batches of 15 bars at a time ensure consistency, quality, and a clean, even lather you'll love.
100% essential-oil fragrance
Most soaps rely on inexpensive synthetic blends. We use only pure essential oils — ingredients that cost more, but create a truly multi-sensory experience.
Slow curing process
A freshly poured bar is soft and heavy with water, and a bar like that softens fast in a wet shower. So we cut the block into bars and set them on a rack for weeks while the water evaporates. They get harder, denser and lighter, and by the end they lather better and last longer.

We use coconut oil as the key fat in our cold-process soap production process.
Sodium palmate (Palm Oil) is one of the two workhorse fats in commercial bar soap, and it's fairly common in handmade cold-process soap as well.
We chose not to use Palm Oil because it's responsible for the deforestation of rainforests and the loss of primate habitats.
Our soaps contain no phthalates, dyes, petroleum-derived solvents, or “fragrance” catch-all chemicals.
