Sunday, October 24th - DIY Handweaving Workshop
Join us for an afternoon Handweaving Workshop at Slow North's shop featuring local artist Zanny Cox of Zanny Adornments. This beginner’s class covers the basic techniques of tapestry weaving. Zanny will delve into the historical and cultural significance of handweaving, teach you to tap into your creative flow, and explain color theory and fiber textures. You'll learn how to create your very own woven wall hanging from start to finish and if you'd like to continue your practice at home, Zanny's Weaving Kit will be available for purchase at a discount.
Claim your place today! We are limiting class capacity to 8 attendees and masks will be required.
Based in Austin, Zanny works in her home studio with sustainably sourced natural fibers, including wool from Texas and New Mexico sheep farms.
