Sat., Nov. 10th - Indigo Shibori Workshop
In this workshop you will learn how to dye a 100% cotton neckerchief using Indigo Shibori techniques. Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth and binding it, then dyeing it in indigo. You will be provided a neckerchief to dye during the workshop, but feel free to bring a few small items that you are interested in dyeing as time permits. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home your pieces that same day!
Abril Robbins will lead you in the art of Indigo Shibori during this workshop. She runs Freewheelin' Goods with her husband, Ryan, which focuses on ceramic, wood, and textile goods. As life-long artists they are moved by their love for the world around them. So much so that it inspired them to start a business and to share the gifts of life with you. Their desire and mission is to offer you and your loved ones beautiful and functional handcrafted goods.
